H&M Home Collection

 I spotted these interiors in decembers issue of Elle decoration and was surpirsed to see the collection is from H&M's new home collection.

I particularly like the cushion covers they do and think they are really individual and unique and look much more expensive than they are selling for.

 Although their home collection is only available at thier oxford street store the collection is available online and items like these cushions would make a perfect christmas present.

Bohemian Pop Up Shop....

R&G Collective Pop Up Shop
This pop up shop in Los Angelos is opening for november and is selling an array of eclectic furnishings and accessories from around the world. Wendy Riva, a Hollywood art director and decorator, Andrea Gibbin collaborated on the shop with interior designers Eric Hughes and Nathan Turner, whose furniture pieces are in the shop for sale alongside furniture from around the world. The rich textiles and bright colours. make the shop look really interesting and you know you would get a one of a kind piece.

Wallpaper and fabric trends..

 

I collected these fabrics at Chelsea Harbour show, I think they would look really good in a lounge or bedroom and really like the fabric in the bottom right as the material would look really good upholstered to a arm chair or made into cushions.

These wallpaper and fabric designs are by Jane Churchill, the textured material on the top image is by Lelievre and i think works well with the coral theme. This look work work really well at a beach by the sea or just to make your front room feel like your by the sea.

The two collections are from three different designers but all have the same undertone and feel to them, these colours where prominant in alot of the new designs and think we will see alot of this colour scheme this season.

I came across these cushions and seats whilst researching for seating for my project. These would be perfect for my outdoor cinema and the effect of indoor-outdoor that I want to create.. I will use the larger stone chairs and the pillows for the grass chairs. I also really just like the throws and blankets this designer makes. The designer is called Ronel Jordaan and I will definately look at her work again for different projects.

Function...all change

 Looking for ideas for a project turning an old space into a new and different function, changing an old ruin ino a outdoor cinema and want to use grass and vegetation for the furniture to keep a natural feel to it, found this eco designer online called Patric blanc who incoperates grass and plants into new spaces creating an indoor- outdoor space which is the feel I want to create.

Saw this article in a magazine I was reading about quilt maker Tracey Emins who makes blankets out of different fabrics and clothings etc , that she has used in her life and that remind her of family and friends. I think they look really interesting and eye cathings, a good way to recycle your old favourite clothes and materials.

James Brown and Cath Kidston

I saw some new prints in Cath kidston Catalogue (above), designed by Graphic Designer James Brown for Cath Kidstons autumn collection. He has designed four limited edition prints for the collection and all of these statement prints would make any home feel warm and welcoming.

I had never heard of James Brown and researched into him some more. He has his own small website and blog which I think I will follow. His workis very bold and he has a clever way of making words on a poster really catch your eye and make you stop and look. Will definately keep up to date with his work.
